On February 12, 2025, we proudly launched INTRACOMP, our groundbreaking Horizon Europe project that explores how arts in education can drive intercultural and transcultural competence. This initiative brings together a diverse international consortium to foster social inclusion, diversity, and cohesion through innovative cultural and educational approaches.

Our online kick-off meeting marked the exciting beginning of this ambitious journey, gathering our partners from across Europe, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea to establish a strong foundation for collaboration. During the event, we:

  • Explored INTRACOMP’s vision, aims, and ambitions, setting a shared direction for our work
  • Introduced our international network of partners, highlighting their expertise in arts, education, and policy
  • Engaged in an interactive quiz, fostering connections and collaboration in a fun and engaging way
  • Presented our work packages, outlining key objectives, methodologies, and expected outcomes
  • Received valuable insights from our Project Officer at the European Research Executive Agency, ensuring alignment with Horizon Europe priorities

With this strong and inspiring start, we are now moving forward with the next phases of INTRACOMP—developing competence frameworks, digital tools, and cultural collaborations that will shape inclusive and innovative arts education practices.

INTRACOMP is part of a mini-cluster under the HORIZON-CL2-2024-TRANSFORMATIONS-08 call, working alongside sister projects dedicated to advancing cultural transformation through education and the arts.
