Professor Rose Martin

Rose Martin (PhD) is Dean of the Faculty of Education, Arts and Culture at Nord University and a Professor of Arts Education. Rose has a background as a professional ballet dancer, receiving her professional training at the New Zealand School of Dance, and she then joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Prior to her role at Nord University as Dean she held academic positions at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway. Rose has extensive experience in research and teaching in the Middle East, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. Her research interests include dance education; arts and politics; qualitative and post-qualitative research methodologies, and inclusive and community arts practices. Rose has authored many peer reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and books.
