CultureComp Academy

CultureComp Academy is INTRACOMP’s capability-building programme – the project’s hands-on answer to a simple question: how do you actually grow the skills to foster intercultural and transcultural competence (ITC) in a classroom, a rehearsal room, or a community space?

Open to everyone and free to join, the Academy qualifies learners, artists, teachers, and administrators in participatory performing arts and the use of the CultureComp Framework. Learning happens through short, practical Learning Playlists – each offering up to six hours of optional activities – and your progress is recognised with digital Open Badges you can keep and share. Joining takes about two minutes, and a self-paced online course (MOOC) opens the same ideas to organisations and educators anywhere in the world.

Whether you want new pathways for your own development, resources for the people you teach, or a way to connect your organisation with others advancing cultural democracy, the Academy is built to grow with you.

CultureComp Leaders

CultureComp Leaders takes capacity-building one step further, into personal mentoring. Run by the European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) and In Place of War (IPOW), it pairs 40 emerging young creatives (aged 18–30) from underrepresented communities with experienced mentors over three months of online individual sessions, group exchanges, and thematic workshops.

Using the CultureComp Framework as a mirror for their own values, skills, and ambitions, participants shape a creative idea, plan their next steps as community leaders, and learn from one another. A select group is invited to a three-day culminating event in Brussels, where mentees meet face-to-face and share the projects they’ve been building.
