Shaping the Future of Intercultural Learning
INTRACOMP is redefining arts education and cultural engagement by embedding Intercultural and Transcultural Competence (ITC) into learning, policy, and digital innovation. Our approach combines theorizing ITC, developing a measurable framework, scaling access through training and technology, and shaping policy for sustainable impact.
We deliver a comprehensive ITC framework for learners, educators, and cultural organizations, implement arts-based learning interventions that foster intercultural collaboration, and create a Digital Playground that integrates ITC education into digital and creative spaces. Additionally, our policy recommendations provide actionable guidelines to embed ITC in education and cultural governance, ensuring a long-lasting impact on diverse communities worldwide.
Impacting Culture, Empowering Communities
INTRACOMP strengthens intercultural competence in arts education, and fosters social cohesion through artistic collaboration. It supports educators, policymakers, and cultural leaders in adopting innovative ITC strategies while engaging children, youth, and marginalized groups, including Indigenous, LGBTQI+, mixed ability, displaced, and economically disadvantaged communities. The project supports arts education professionals, such as teachers, inclusive arts workers, community artists, and administrators, while informing decision-makers in cultural and education organizations at local, national, and global levels. It engages the general public across multiple sectors and empowers the scientific community, including researchers and experts validating ITC practices. By bridging arts, education, and policy, INTRACOMP ensures inclusive, transformative cultural learning with lasting societal impact.
