Pro Progressione

Pro Progressione is a Budapest-based artistic hub that connects people, professions and ambitions by designing international collaborations in the field of culture. The organization focuses its capacities on the fields where it aims to have a positive long-term impact, thus it is built up on six main pillars: socially engaged arts (PP Social), cultural & natural heritage interpretation (PP Cult), music as tradition (PP Sound), productions of unique performances (PP Arts), environmental & social sustainability (PP Green), and projects that develop and improve methodologies combining theoretical knowledge and practical experience (PP Plus).
Pro Progressione is an official partner of the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus Initiative while actively participates in international networks like Culture Action Europe, IETM or Voices of Culture. Through interdisciplinary projects funded by the European Commission, the organization creates an international network of artists, institutions and audiences by helping the communities to find their path towards arts.
PP Social Pillar engage with local and disadvantaged communities through socially engaged arts projects. We believe that creative minds play a crucial role in building a just society. Through socially engaged art tools and artistic activism, we address issues such as identity consciousness and community building (CUC), social wellbeing (Perfare), resilience (CREATResili), maintaining linguistic culture and diversity (Lingotell), artivism, social inclusion, gender equality and sustainability in the arts (Academy), and community engagement and active participation in the process of creating art (DemArt).
