My highest qualification is Doctor of Philosophy in Creative Industry from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia, awarded on the 25th of July 2014. My PhD research examined the indigenous Papua New Guinea performance elements and genres and harnessed them to create a new form of applied theatre for HIV and AIDS education in Papua New Guinea. I also obtained a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Queensland (St. Lucia Campus) on 20th July 2004. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Literature, awarded on 22nd March 2002 and a Diploma in Performing Arts on 5th May 2000 from the University of Papua New Guinea. I teach Literature to undergraduate students, and supervise postgraduate students at the University of Goroka, in PNG. I am currently occupying the role of the Executive Director of the Somare Research Institute at the University of Goroka. My research interests include arts education, HIV and AIDS education and awareness, arts education, community theatre, oral literature, cultural studies and performative leadership.
