Emanuela has a diverse background that spans from academic social research in Critical International Theory and Social Research Methodologies to expert consultancy for international NGOs, institutions, and local authorities. She earned her PhD from the University of Helsinki, specialising in Critique of Rights, Post-Colonial Studies, Transnational Social Movements, Political Contestation, and Subaltern Agency. An award-winning author, she has also served as an international fellow and visiting researcher at several institutions in both Europe and the United States. With a long record of solidarity activism, Emanuela is particularly passionate about people-centered and grassroots practices for social transformation.
