Martina Guerinoni

Portrait of Martina Guerinoni smiling widely, with short dark hair and wearing a leather jacket, in an outdoor setting with greenery and parked cars in the background.

After completing her PhD in Humanistic Studies at the Catholic University of Milan in 2021, with a thesis on Social Theatre as a practice of inclusion for migrant women in Italy, Martina works in the field of Social Theatre, with a particular interest in educational and intercultural contexts. Combining research and action in the field, she promotes the use of performing arts and practices as useful tools for the acquisition of transversal skills and for community development. As an active member of a voluntary organisation and a social promotion association, Martina also brings her expertise as a facilitator to voluntary contexts, using Social Theatre in co-development projects with children and young people in sub-Saharan Africa, promoting an anti-colonialist approach and aimed at empowering the local community.
